Spring & Fall Cleanup & Compost Site
Leaves, grass clippings, garden refuse and branches will be collected on your regular garbage pickup day during one week in April and one week in October. The exact dates are announced in the newspaper, or you can call the Morden Civic Centre at 822-4434. All items must be packed in boxes or plastic bags, branches cut and tied into bundles and placed at the curb prior to 8:00 a.m.
Compost Materials & Branches

Spring: April 21st to April 25th, 2008
Fall: October 20th to October 24th, 2008

OPEN FIRES BY-LAW NO. 12-94
Provides for the regulation and prohibiting of open fires within the corporate limits
of the Town of Morden.
All open fires for the burning of leaves, straw, stubble, garden and other refuse, whether on the surface of the ground, in pits, barrels or other containers/incinerators is prohibited
Community Compost Site- For Morden Residents
The compost site is moving - effective August 31st, 2008 it will move from 333 and 345 Mountain Street South to Wilcocks Road. 
This site is for grass clippings, leaves and garden refuse - branches only - all to be placed in marked areas. Wood chips and compost material available for Morden Residents (hand loading only).
PLEASE empty your bags and place them in the containers provided.
Compost Transfer Site- West of Town
This is not a waste disposal site!
The Compost Transfer Site west of Town will be open on Saturdays only beginning May 10th, 2008 and the hours of operation are from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Dumping fees for the Compost Transfer Site west of Town for tree stumps and concrete (no rebar) as follows:
$50.00 Minimum Fee
$100.00 Per Tandem Load
$150.00 Per Semi Load
Compost Weekly Pickup Service
Compost material grass clippings, leaves and garden refuse will be picked up on a weekly basis every Monday from May 5th to September 29th, 2008. To obtain this service residents are asked to purchase tags from the Morden Civic Centre at a fee of $2.50 per bag with a maximum weight of 45 lbs per bag. The bags are to be placed at the curb by 8:00 A.M. on Mondays.
Please note: Compost material is not included in the regular solid waste contract.
