HOCKEY

Here are some of the opportunities for residents to enjoy taking part in hockey at the Access Event Centre. Here are a few.

HockeyRecreation Hockey for Boys & Girls

The Recreation Hockey Program for Youth is made available by the Morden Community Services Department for those not registered in Minor Hockey. The purpose of the program is to provide an atmosphere where youth can learn and enjoy the great game of hockey without the commitment or expectations of the Minor Hockey program. It is a non-body contact program, aimed at allowing everyone on the ice the freedom to have fun and fair play. The scrimmage games will not have a Referee.

  • Players must wear full equipment; CSA approved helmet with faceguard, neck guard, gloves, elbow & shin guards, hockey pants, shoulder pads and mouth guard.
  • One hour per group session Saturday’s for Grades 1 – 8 and Sunday’s for Grades 9 & up.  These ice slots are not a weekly guarantee but will be scheduled in whenever possible.
  • Rec Hockey will begin the first weekend in October and run until April.
  • Cost:   Season $90 and can be paid by Cheque (made payable to the Town of Morden) or by Visa, MC or Debit at the Morden Access Event Center (Morden Community Services Dept. office) from Monday – Friday from 8:30am – 4:30pm.
Cost$5 drop in fee must be paid that day to the parent volunteer in that group (Player must be pre-registered).
