Pembina Valley Humane Society (PVHS) is a volunteer run, non-profit organization, serving 29 towns in south western Manitoba. Our purpose is to help abandoned animals by 
providing care for them during their stay at our shelter, finding suitable adoption placements and controlling pet overpopulation by ensuring all of our animals are spayed or neutered. The animals taken in are unwanted pets, strays, unclaimed animals from the pound and animals rescued from environments of neglect and abuse.
In 2010, the PVHS opened a new 2400 sq foot shelter with 22 dog kennels and housing for 40-50 cats. The new facility offers volunteer opportunities for over 90 community members. All members of the public are welcome and new volunteers are always needed!
