- Two Bedroom Suite – 824 to 900 Square Feet
What are the floor plans?
- Type A - 616 Sq Ft - One Bedroom
- Type B - 900 Sq Ft - Two Bedroom
- Type C - 715 Sq Ft - One Bedroom
- Type D - 824 Sq Ft - Two Bedroom
When will the units be avaiable?
Homestead South are currently taking deposits. Display suites will be open in April 2012 and move-ins will start in July 2012.
What kind of services will be offered?
Suites - The 1 and 2 bedroom suites are wheelchair and walker accessible. The majority of suites feature walk-in shower stall, while the remaining suites provide a bathtub option. Each suite features individually controlled heat and air conditioning, ample storage space, kitchens equipped with a full stove and fridge, as well as a balcony.
Dining - Brunch and a delicious three course dinner served daily in the central dining room by friendly and attentive staff. All meals are prepared from scratch, on site by professionally trained kitchen staff. The meals are low sodium, including diabetic options, other allergies and restrictions are also attended to.
Housekeeping - Weekly light housekeeping is provided, as well as daily garbage collection. The grounds, building, and suites are maintained on an ongoing basis by the maintenance staff. Snow removal and de-icing of walkways and parking lot are also a priority.
Activities - Activities, presentations, and entertainment are planned on a monthly basis. Some examples include weekly exercise class, tai chi, bingo, theme dinners, and weekly excursions to and from nearby shopping centres.
Added Features – There is a private guest suite for out of town guests, as well a private dining room for gatherings of family and friends. Laundry facilities are located on each floor, at no extra charge, and all of the residences feature a full service hair salon.
What will be the name of the facility?
The facility will be called Homestead South.
How much will the total project cost?
$15,600,000.00
When will the project start?
May 16th, 2011
How long will it take to construct?
12 to 14 months depending on weather.
Where is this facility being built?
The facility is being built just off Loren Drive in the Pembina Connection Development Area at the east entrance to Morden. The right side of the graphic below is Highway #3. Homestead South Sod Turning
On May 5th, 2011 a sod turning event took place at the site of the Homestead South Assisted Living Complex. Many were in attendance.
