The presentations will take place at the Access Event Centre at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, April 24th, 2013.  Everyone is welcome to attend this recognition event and celebrate with the recipients after a short formal ceremony.

“I think it’s important to recognize the efforts of volunteers, as there are countless hours of time put into organizing, coaching and promoting sports in our community. Sport programs exist because of volunteers. The Sport Volunteer display is a small way of sharing the history of sports in Morden,” said Clare Agnew – Director of Community Services.

“The community sports programs benefit everyone.  However, they would not happen if it wasn’t for volunteers to run them.  The people that we are honouring are but a few of the many that have contributed to the wellbeing of sport in the City of Morden. This annual program has been established to enable the citizens to honour these special volunteers,” said Mayor Ken Wiebe.
