Kids aged 4 to 18 from families in financial need can receive funding to help with registration fees, equipment and/or transportation. They can fund up to $150 per activity. Up to $600 is available per child per year. (Must fit Low Income Cut-off Criteria- Criteria to qualify here)
The Big Play is a program of Jumpstart to help get kids into hockey. The program funds kids in hockey programs with up to $500/per child. (Must fit Low Income Cut-off Criteria- Criteria to qualify here).

KidSport provides funding a variety of recreation programs for kids. They offer $300/year per child.
Applications are available at the Sport Manitoba Office (Winkler Civic Centre- 185 Main St), Morden Community Services & Events Office (Access Event Centre- 111 Gilmour St), or online.
KidSport can also help get equipment for kids in sport. The amount and type of equipment collected is limited. Be aware that the fulfillment of your application will depend on equipment availability.
“Chance 2 Grow” funds a wide variety of recreational and educational opportunities for children from music lessons, art and dance classes, to gymnastics, swimming, and figure skating. Includes hockey registration in our southern region. This program will pay registration for a myriad of activities upon request.
Chance 2 Camp provides Summer Camperships to a maximum of $400.00 per child. This funding is available to children who, because of economic circumstances in their families, would not otherwise have the opportunity for a summer camp experience.
