The City of Morden offers some fitness classes out of the Access Event Centre. Read below for more information on programming:


Participants that fall within LICO (low income cut off) guidelines are eligible for a 20% discount on all fitness programs.
See the criteria to qualify.
Once proof is shown, the applicable discount will be tied to your account for all programs you might register for in the calendar year.

Hatha Yoga

This class is instructed by Amanda Rempel and uses a combination of simple postures, movement and breath to work on strength, flexibility and balance. The focus on alignment for every body type allows beginners to safely learn the basics. After class there is also an opportunity for questions or further explanation on anything yoga.

Power Yoga

Power Yoga is taught by instructor, Amanda Friesen. This is a sequenced based yoga class that improves flexibility, strength and self-awareness. Be prepared to sweat and be challenged!

Cardio Drumming

CARDIO DRUMMING is a fitness class that uses rhythm as its foundation and combines the benefits of group exercise with drumming and body movement. There are many benefits to this class including:
• Muscle toning, cardiovascular endurance & flexibility
• Improved neuromuscular (brain) function & coordination
• Increased focus and concentration
• Posture and body alignment
• Brain fitness and memory enhancement
• Inspires a strong sense of well being
• Stimulation of fine motor skills/hand & eye coordination
• Increased creative expression through the feel & the fitness of the activity

Restorative Yoga

This class is designed to restore the nervous system and help release deeply held tension from the body and mind with gentle stretching and strengthening postures. The practice will also include breathing exercises and guided meditations. This class is appropriate for all levels. Instructor: Lindsay Peters

Kickboxing

This class will use circuit training, core exercises, and boxing choreography to increase strength, confidence, flexibility, and mind and body awareness. The class will give you a full-body workout that engages every muscle group in your body, with a strong focus on your core. Instructor: Amanda Rempel

Total Body Fitness

This class uses small equipment to work both your large and small muscles for full body toning. Be prepared to sweat and be challenged!

Yogalates

Combines Yoga and Pilates, emphasizing strengthening of the core, using yoga at the end of the class to encourage deep relaxation with cooling-down stretches. This class is designed to strengthen both the mind and the body through the combination of poses and exercises. Instructor: Lindsay Peters
